Activities in Tioman

There’s more to Tioman than natural beauty and outdoors adventure – we offer plenty of other activities perfect for the discerning guest. Aman Tioman offers guests the best in local and international cuisine. Our chefs can whip up a sumptuous selection of dishes, many of which take full advantage of the fresh and plentiful seafood in the area. We have a facsimile of a kopitiam – a Malaysian coffee shop – for those craving authentic local delicacies like Nasi Lemak and curry laksa. We also have a veranda for classy ocean edge dining, so guests can dine to the peaceful crash of the ocean waves. For those looking for quick, street food style snacks, we also have a full array of grills, ready to serve you at all times of the day. At scheduled times in the evening, guests may enjoy their food with an accompaniment of light music and entertainment – and, for the more outgoing, and guests can become part of the night’s entertainment by using one of top of the line karaoke systems.

While enjoying some of our many diving and snorkeling programs, guests will come across many plump, juicy looking fish. We get it. They’re not just there to be looked at. They’re there to be eaten and/or stuffed and mounted on a wall. Sometimes, there’s nothing better for a person’s peace of mind than a nice, quiet afternoon of casual date and meal.

Fishing

Aman Tioman boasts some of the best fishing sites on the Eastern Malaysian coast, all perfectly, one hundred percent legal. Tioman island is one of the best places for sports fishing – its natural abundance will gift beginner and experienced anglers with excellent trophy fish, including Sailfish, Black Marlin, Barracuda, Bonefish, Cobia, Dorado, Groupers, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel. Feel the thrilling rush of absolute power as a helpless sea creature is dragged up, mouth first, by a curved hook that will not yield no matter how it struggles – then smiling at the camera as you hold it up, guaranteed fun times for the whole family!

Corporate Events

For organization retreats, we offer teambuilding programs to help our guests bond and learn to work together as a cohesive unit. These exercises include joint jungle trekking and diving excursions, all designed to help participants develop problem solving and interpersonal communications skills. Our standard package will include a 3 days 2 nights stay, with two breakfasts and two dinners provided.

Private Events

We also do large groups, like weddings, family gatherings, birthday celebrations and the like. Aman Tioman has the facilities to accommodate large numbers of people for those most special of occasions. Rest assured – Tioman Island may be small, but it has more than enough logistical capacity to meet the needs of your celebration.

Sunbathing

Sunbathing is also a good choice here – the beaches are clean, peaceful, and private, perfect for a relaxing afternoon of soaking up Vitamin D. The best way to end your day here, would be to watch to sun set on one of the most beautiful beaches in Southeast Asia, knowing that good food and a comfortable room is waiting for you inside.
